I recently updated to a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin
and the problem has gone away. I don't know if there was something
lingering from a previous upgraded install or if 12.04 just fixed the
issue, but I am working now.

I forgot to mention I am experiencing this with the following printer:

I was having trouble with this previously, but was trying to put out to
many other fires to investigate it. This has now bubbled to the top. I
am having this problem with:

Oops. I meant to say 11.04 (not 10.04) in comment #2. Can't edit it.
That's a deficiency of Launchpad. The owner of a comment should be
able to edit it. Likewise with the reporter of a bug, should be able to
edit it to correct errors.

Hey, guys. There's a package name in the database for every Firefox
release, but not for Firefox-5.0, which is the current default version
on Ubuntu 10.04. So, I can't say it Affects firefox-5.0, but that's
the case. This bug affects 5.0 but not the prior releases.
