Because this will stop the installation, and subsequent attempts will
result with the same error, shouldn't the importance/urgency of this bug
be increased?
As was commented on in the duplicate ( Bug #83766 ) -- this will confuse
lots of users because it is so easy to mount a partition without
rea
The error window has the title "Failed to create a file system" and the
text is "The ext3 file system creation in partition #1 of IDE1 master
(hda) failed." (or something similar depending on partition and drive,
obviously)

I would have to risk to format my partition again now :) I don't have a
free partition now. If needed (you can tell me privately) I will try an
installation under virtualbox and provide additional information.
