*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 22985 *** This is a pretty common issue. There are basically two solutions. 1) Install with the alternate cd boot in recovery mode install proprietary drivers via command line. (This is how I solved it for me) 2) Edit xorg.conf: Option MonitorLayout
