Tested with upstream kernel 3.1.1. WLAN driver did work. Router did not reboot.
For me its still not a solution, because display is still flickering.
But regarding the WLAN 3.1.1 fixes the issue for my router.

I tried the make (kaizenceo) solution and it doesn't worked to me, so it
isn't a general one. I think the reason is in the kernel 3.0, because if

I got a similar problem here. I have a System76 with Intel WiFi Link
5100 AGN. The router is an Actiontec MI424WR-GEN2 version 20.19.8.
Upgraded from Natty today afternoon, as soon saw all my network devices
disconnected as soon as System76 connected to WiFi router.

I currently have to disable wireless-N. It's a bit disappointing since I had no

After installing the patched kernel and rebooting (without the
11n_disable option), oneiric still crashes my router. Assuming I've
built the Ubuntu kernel properly, then the patch is not a solution and
the only workaround at the moment is to disable wireless-N.

Same here: I'm using Oneiric on ThinkPad T420 with IWL 6205. starting
wireless completely crashes my router that runs DD-WRT v24SP2 (it
doesn't reboot - it has to be power cycled). After setting "options
iwlagn 11n_disable", it works fine.
Currently its not much of an issue as my router is 802.11g
Bug still exists as of Beta 2 of Oneiric. Having similar problem on my
ThinkPad x200 with Intel 5300 inside connecting to a Verizon issued
Actiontec Wireless N router. Though the router doesn't reboot, just
crash -- taking out WiFi, Ethernet, and Internet. Reboot must be
performed manually.
