Marking this as invalid. After a lot more testing, and trying different kernels (tried Oneiric and multiple Natty kernels with the same results) I replaced the minipci wi-fi card in the laptop with one from a dead Lenovo. Wireless now works just fine without issues, so it seems that the problem wa

Hi Seth... first, no, toggling the slider did not release the hard block. Neither did 'rfkill unblock all'. I ran 'rfkill event' and grepped for 'idx 1' (the idx of the wireless device) and then toggled the slider a few times. Note that the soft block comes on and turns off, but hard block remai

RfKill.txt shows a hard block on your wireless device. Does your machine have a physical switch to turn off wifi or a hotkey? Does toggling either of these affect the output of 'rfkill list'? Also please try running 'rfkill unblock all' and see if your wireless starts working again. ** Changed in
