Public bug reported: Step 1: Install a minimal Ubuntu Natty system, with a root user and a normal user.
Step 2: "apt-get install ubuntu-desktop" Step 3: Log into freshly-installed Ubuntu desktop environment as the normal user. Step 4: Select "Restart" or "Shut Down" from the corner menu. Step 5: Wonder if you had actually selected "Log Out," because all it did was send you back to the login screen. ** Affects: ubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/822941 Title: Neither "Restart" nor "Shut Down" work in ubuntu-desktop installed from minimal system with root+normal user To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-meta/+bug/822941/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
