Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
Hi i think it would be nice if ubiquity could support swap files instead (or as well as) swap partitions. Without LVM by default creating a swap partition is not ideal whereas you can easily create a swap file in / or somewhere else and mount it under fstab. AFAIK there are no performance issues on using one alternative instead of the other. I usually do it just after an installation following: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SwapFaq thanks ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- whishlist: support for swap files https://launchpad.net/bugs/82351 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
