Public bug reported: Hi
Since I've created a/etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d/multiarch file with: foreign-architecture i386 per https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel-announce/2011-August/000886.html and ran apt-get update, I'm seeing thousands of new packages and pressing "forget" will remove them from the UI, but they reappear when I restart aptitude. It seems aptitude's new packages tracking is confused by the multiple architectures being available. Cheers, ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: aptitude 0.6.4-1ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-8.11-generic 3.0.1 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-8-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Aug 18 16:47:55 2011 ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=fr_FR:fr:en_GB:en PATH=(custom, user) LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/zsh SourcePackage: aptitude UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2009-12-07 (618 days ago) ** Affects: aptitude (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug oneiric running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/828807 Title: "forget new packages" broken since multiarch is enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aptitude/+bug/828807/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
