this reproducible with
sudo /etc/init.d/postgresql restart
? Can you please attach /var/log/postgresql/* ?

well now it's ok, I uninstalled manually postgresql-common, then
reinstalled it
and now I dont have anymore this error on system update manager
but here is the log you want

I must have a deeper problem
when I let the computer (dell precision desktop T3400) inactive like one
hour, it's impossible to go out from sleep mode (moving mouse,
keyboard). Thus I have to restart it brutally
