With above kernel under feisty,
the appropriate gnome applet is reporting my laptop (nx6310 RH342ET#ABD) is
always
running on direct mains.
With 2.6.17 kernels under efty and feisty everything works as expected.
The bug applies to vanilla ftp.kernel.org kernels as well,
even to 2.6.19 under fedora core 6.
