Reopened as confirmed based on availability of required logs.
I was tempted to direct to the kernel, as this was reported as an ACPI
problem, but I'm not sure if that is the right place: the machine
resumes OK, but with a blank screen; the FN-F8 "tweak" then turns the
display back on. It would see
I just found out that I can revive the display by pressing Fn-F8
(CRT/LCD) after opening the lid. I can then enter my screensaver
password and regain access to my session. I guess this is still a bug,
as the screensaver password dialog should appear instantly after re-
opening the display or at lea
