There should be a possibility to define styles for formulas in the same
way than you can define text styles or paragraph styles. This is a long
standing bug/wishlist.
As is it possible to define all other text attributes by styles (in
german: Vorlagen) the standard text color is de facto the
PS:
fv (fratiman-vladut) already suggested the workaround Christopher M. Penalver
(penalvch) repeated.
But this clearly is a workaround.

I confirm that. Libreoffice default font are some grey color (strange anyway).
In math equation characters are also grey and cannot be change.
How resolve:
Need to change default color for fonts to Black in Writer:Tools - Options
- Appearance - Font Color
