I have just had a similar problem and came to report it.
On this webpage:

If I scroll in firefox using either the scroll wheel OR by dragging the
thingy on the scroll bar I get kicked to the login screen. I don't know
whats down there but it must be pretty
I have tried what Alexander suggested except the backtrace as there does
not appear to be a debugger package for FF3b.
The MOZ_PANGO stuff made no difference.
Attached are is the locale and strace information.

Strace hope it helps, I had a look and it made no sense to an end user
like me :-)

but its not related to firefox. it just crashes randomly and often,,,

So -safe-mode did not help?
OK, a few more questions. Plese answer these:
I. Language settings / Pango:
Which locale/language are you using for your desktop?
In console, try:
# export MOZ_PANGO_DISABLED=0
or
# export MOZ_PANGO_DISABLED=1
and then launching
# firefox
help?
II. attach
Please provide informations like syslog, versions of firefox and xorg

Does starting firefox in safe mode help? To do so, try:
