Yes, I just switched my gtk theme to Clearlooks and Banshee is now starting just fine. Just for anyone else with this bug: the 'theme' being refereed to here is not the KDE theme (or, for that matter, the gnome theme if you are using Gnome/Unity), but the special theme that KDE uses to decorate
