Public bug reported: Sometimes the ACPI in the latest Feisty seems to malfunction, so my screen brightness is set to minimum, and even if I try to brighten the screen using Fn-Home it brightens it, the Ubuntu brightness meter comes on-screen, and the system seems to reset the brightness immediately back to the minimum.
I dist-upgraded just now, 2007-02-08. I've set my screen brightness to the maximum when plugged in, and 75% when on battery. This "jamming screen brightness to minimum" seems to happen especially when I plug my computer on AC, after booting on battery. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Screen brightness in minimum https://launchpad.net/bugs/83896 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
