Anyway, this problem is known to be caused by totem-xine ... totem-
gstreamer works well.

Same problem here with the Totem plugin 2.18.1
The video starts buffering but never loads.
Opening the same video stream directly within Totem works fine.
@ubuntu jack:
stating that mplayer works better doesn't really help a lot the developers,
does it? ;)

What version of ubuntu? what version of totem. is it totem-gstreamer or
totem-xine? Have you tried another player-plugin maybe mplayer? do you
have all the codecs installed?
