Unity crashe
Yes it worked at that time, but it's a workaround not a solution to the
problem in hand, creating a new user account means all settings
preferences, bookmarks are gone.
Anyway thanks for the workaround.

i suggest you login to unity-2d and create a new user and login there
Unity should work fine. I dont remember what I did the last time when i
faced this issue :-/
