Looks like I found the cause of my problem here: among the folders I was backing up was my torrent clients config folder, which had a incomplete pĂ­eces folder in it. When torrents where being downloaded, duplicity seemed like it couldn't handle those files. I still have to wait for the next

In case of SSL errors, the presence of symlinks in the backup files are not changing anything. The server closes the connection during the transfer for some reason, this can be due to server overload, network problems during the transfers (e.g. link saturation). -- You received this bug
