I had the same problem with Ubuntu 12.10.
Here's a patch for Quantal. I'm not sure if the version number is
correct since the version format changed to 2.4.0 (0.80+1.0) to 0.80+1.1
on 2012-01-10 and 0.83+2.1 is less than 2.4.0.
