yada doesn't need a change, I got distracted by the lowercase letters in
Xsbc-Original-Maintainer from the generated debian/control.

This patch realy set the correct permissions on /var/run/vde (adding the
chmod 770 /var/run/vde).

The patch creates the directory and set the owner but not the r/w permissions
as in installation. A line is missing:
chown vde-net:vde-net `dirname $PIDFILE`
+chmod 770 `dirname $PIDFILE`
If these permissions are not set a bridge defined for a user of vde-net
group are no

Confirmed, this directory is created in postinst and as /var/run/vde is on
tmpfs, it will disappear on reboot.
