This bug is half-fixed now. Starting Skype by yourself is how it
should be, you can see the icon. But if you let Skype start with
autostart, the icon still doesn't appear. A workaround to this is
writing a small autostart script where you put a delay (10-15 sec) and
then it starts Skype.

The bug is still there and makes Skype not really usable. I think it
happens because of the animated Skype icon while logging in, the global
menu can't handle it.
