The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.

The same keyboard on another computer with the same feisty version works
fine. In addition, another USB keyboard (Microsoft Natural Ergonomic
Keyboard 4000) has the same problem with the computer producing the bug
and works fine with the other. The mainboard of the buggy computer is an
Asus P5LD2
Changing the package to the kernel as the same problem occurs with a
different keyboard on the same system.

Thanks for the additional information. Does this bug also occur when
you are working in one of the console virtual terminals? You could test
this by pressing Ctlr+Alt+F2 and logging in there and performing some
commands. Thanks in advance.

of text. I've typed the same type of text in X and the bug appeared
