Public bug reported: Orca uses speech dispatcher and the espeak engine by default and can include pronunciation guides to get words said more correctly. spd-say "oneiric ocelot" sounds like "one iric oh slot" but spd-say "on-eer-ric osselot" sounds about right, comparing to 28:15 of the UDS-O keynote http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjyNTCHVyxs
so it would be great to pre-populate the dictionary with oneiric = on-eer-ric ocelot = osselot ** Affects: gnome-orca (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/852583 Title: Orca does not pronounce "Oneiric Ocelot" very well To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-orca/+bug/852583/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
