Same error happened to me.
It crashed while i was deleting a custom folder. I tried to reproduce it by
creating and then deleting a new folder in apps=multimedia (i don't remember
exactly the apps tree name in english because my system language is italian)

I had the same problem. I was trying to uncheck the Transgaming folder
when I was informed that the program had crashed. The program didn't
shut down, though, but when I tried again to uncheck the Transgaming
folder, I got the same error.

I can't think of a time when None is ever a valid value to return from
item.get_desktop_file_path(), what were you doing when you got this
error?
