This package was actually removed after Kubuntu 8.10 since qtparted is
quite buggy and unmaintained by its authors. It is recommended to use
the partitionmanager package for partition management in Kubuntu 9.04 or
greater.

Hi Pi Boy, I don't know about this bug in 9.04, but in Intrepid it still
appears, this is one of the reasons i could not resize or test some
partitions on my old Maxtor Disc

I just want to add that this bug has appear to me, i'm using Ubuntu 7.10
Gutsy Gibbon, Qtparted 0.4.5-cvs, and my disk is a Maxtor 6Y080L0.
Please check this bug, because i need to check the disk partitions using this
program.

Just to add sorry, I gave up on the idea for now but if I was that keen
on getting it on my PC I am sure I'd have found a work around (such as
upgrading from Dapper via Edgy). I run Edgy on my laptop every weekday,
but thought I'd give it a go on my PC while I was at home. So its not a
big issue
