Good news: If you switch to Oneiric, you get a driver for this printer,
as part of Gutenprint 5.2.7. Simply upgrade to Oneiric and set up your
printer the usual way and the driver will get found automatically.

This is not a bug of Ubuntu. The problem is that there is no free
software driver available for this printer which we could include in our
distribution, nor does the manufacturer make drivers available for auto-
download.
