Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-mount
If I freshly insert a USB pendrive then without doing anything, ask for it to be unmount (via any of the GUI methods), I do not get a notification from libnotify that it is safe to remove the pendrive. However, if I insert it, copy some files, then unmount, I get very nice "data writing in progress", then "safe to remove" popups. If it was by design to suppress the safe-to-remove notification when there is no data written then please reconsider -- the user should receive notification when it's safe to remove a pendrive, no matter how soon that may be :) ** Affects: gnome-mount (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- gnome-mount does not consistently display 'safe to remove' message https://launchpad.net/bugs/85961 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
