same here.. applet still disapeares after logout.. i tried with new
created user, so i don't think it should be related with something in
~/.gnome ...

great! there was something that went wrong during an update I think...
now I removed my home directory and created a new blank one. The error
is no more present! could you confirm this, so we can reject the bug?

I'm having the same problem here.. after second login (or comming back
from resume, sometimes i also have to relogin) i'm missing the
drivemount_applet2 .. it seems to be running, but i cannot see it in the
panel..

I can reproduce this bug every time, if I logout and then login again.
The inhibit suspend does not work and the brightness applet tells me that it
can't
I just wanted also to point out that brightness hotkeys and g-p-m
proferences can change brightness without problems!
