started the system without using 'nomodeset' - of course the X didn't started
properly but the system did
I'm able to ssh to this from another PC
here is what I've got:
cat Xorg.0.log | grep EE
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.

I can start X using 'nomodeset' - tough the mouse/touchpad is not
working at all - I can see the mouse arrow on the screen but I'm unable
to move it using touchpad.
Also if I want to change the console , for instant ALt+F2 , I'm unable
to see the screen , all I cna see is the X background and noth
I think the Intel i915 driver is not working correctly with 3.0.0-12-generic
kernel.
It worked fine with 2.6.38-8
