Confirmed on a Dell XPS L502X with ALL options disabled (even the on-battery
ones).
I'm not experiencing timmy's issue, though; my laptop suspends and I have to
push the power button to revive it (but I lose network connection and so on;
makes it impossible to have a download running while the

My desktop has suspend disabled through all GUI options I can find, yet
it still suspends, and can never be woken up. Makes ubuntu 11.10 totally
unusable. Attached is dmesg. After I push a key to resume, the display
stays turned off, and the CPU fan spins to the max. Must push the power
