Public bug reported: "For Purchase" section in software centre apparently defaults to showing proprietary for the license. The problem is that both Ryzom and the Full Circle Magazines are not proprietary. Ryzom is released mostly under AGPLv3 and CC-BY-SA licenses (http://dev.ryzom.com/projects/ryzom/wiki), whilst FCM is licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0 Unported, as stated in any issue of the magazine itself (http://fullcirclemagazine.org/).
This is not just a bug, it's a serious legal issue in misrepresenting the license. https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Copyfraud Using Ubuntu 11.04, presumably applies to earlier versions. ** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/864706 Title: Mislabelled licenses in "For Purchase" section To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/864706/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
