reproduce this on Oneiric. Do you have any other ideas what might help in
reproducing the issue?

The bug is caused by having the dconf setting
"org/gnome/desktop/interface/text-scaling-factor" set to 0.95. Please
try to reproduce it with other than default (1.0) setting.

I just tested it using a newly created user account. The problem no
longer occurs, therefore this might be a problem with some remnants of
11.04 configuration. The problem is that I don't really know what files
I should get rid of to let this problem go.
