In sound preferences: change output to the remote computer Then try to play a video in mplayer, totem, banshee, or anything Symptoms: the sound plays fine but video stops when the sound starts. Also when playing songs in Rhythmbox and Banshee: the scrollbar doesn't move along as the song plays and it doesn't automatically advance to the next song.
