gedit cannot be closed using the x button on the top left part of the

On Ubuntu (3d), gedit cannot close using the X button. However, other
applications do close with the X button.
On Ubuntu 2D, gedit works fine, but it does not start form the launcher,
so a file must be used to open gedit.
