Bug still present in fully upgraded Kubuntu Precise with KDE 4.8.4 although
supposed to be fixed in that version of KDE:

On my computer (Ubuntu 12.04), the whole X server crashes and doesn't
restart, while in the bug description below it is mentioned that KDM
returns to the chooser or restarts.
But maybe this is just a configuration/distribution issue and the
underlying kdm bug is the same.

Just updated to kubuntu 11.10 and discovered this bug. ARG!
Anyone found a workaround? (other than running Xapps over SSH I mean)
