OK, I am sad to say this, but it turns out this bug is still here James and
your fix no longer works. I thought that apparmor settings got discarded after
some updates but after applying it again, the same apparmor errors are shown.
So I disabled apparmor completely to discover that this wasn't

Can you add this:
owner @{HOME}/.telepathy-sunshine/** rw,
to /etc/apparmor.d/local/usr.lib.telepathy, then do:
$ sudo apparmor_parser -r /etc/apparmor.d/usr.lib.telepathy
then log out and back in and see if it works? If not, can you attach the output
of:
$ grep apparmor /var/log/kern.log
