The video is exactly what you see. It is a flashing LED in the dark.
Can you confirm that it does not play with 11.11 AMD64 official packets
?

Here are a few things I tested :
* using the libav sample (rsync://fate-suite.libav.org/fate-suite/cram):
ffplay plays everything ok
mplayer and vlc fail to correctly display skating.avi
