you. I thought that what you were saying was that it did not work
Yeah, you can right-click on it and disable wireless, as I mentioned in
the original description.

Nm-applet pretty much ignores any network devices with special
configurations and likes to pretend they don't exist. Due to this it
probably isn't detecting your wired connection and staying wireless. You
should be able to right click the nm-applet and uncheck "enable
wireless" though, does that no
Indeed, but if you configure the wired connection statically you lose
the option to choose between wired/wireless. I think that this perhaps
isn't a bug but rather a limitation in the current version of nm-applet.

I have my wired set up as dhcp, and happen also to me. However, I can
click on the NM icon and select "Wired Network". Then it will connect to
the wired network, and leave the wireless.
