Public bug reported: There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it, but ever so often the screen will freeze on me. I then have to restart the system, but upon restart it freezes on a purple screen. Then, I have restart again. It then asks me if I want to start ubuntu in original mode or recovery mode. I use ubuntu 11.10 (installed on 10/20/11). I'm not able to locate the package name that I'm using, so I apologize.
