Public bug reported: I connect at work to a wireless network using authentication. My username changed so the connection could not be made and the dialogue allows only for changing the password (this may be another bug in it's own right)... I tried to find the network in the "Edit Connections" list. After grepping in the system files I realized that the SSID and the connection name were not the same.
If I did not know where the system files are and how to grep I would never have been able to figure this out! Whenever it failed to connect, I got a message saying "MyWorkNetwork failed to connect", but the network connection was named "Wireless Connection 1". A possible fix would be to give the connection name when the connection fails.
