Public bug reported:

The goban-ss screensaver doesn't currently work with gnome-screensaver
on Ubuntu 11.04 or 11.10. It just shows a blank screen on preview.

Two packages are installed: goban-ss version 1.1-2 and goban-original-
games version 1.1-2. When installed, the goban screensaver is listed in
the Gnome Screensaver Preferences, but of course there are no editable
options as there are in xscreensaver Preferences, such as the directory
where the go games from the goban-original-games package are stored.

The goban screensaver itself can be executed and works from a command
line terminal with:

/usr/lib/xscreensaver/goban

With Xscreensaver installed it doesn't show up at all in the list of
screensavers in the Xscreensaver Preferences although I can force it to
work with Xscreensaver by editing the ~/.xscreensaver file and manually
adding an entry for it. There should have already been an entry for it,
but there is not. In order to get it to work at all with xscreensaver I
still had to run xscreensaver-demo, click on 'settings' and add the
/usr/share/goban directory to the game directory.

So, in summary, on installation, the goban screensaver doesn't work with
gnome-screensaver or xscreensaver, either one, on Ubuntu, Ubuntu64, or
Xubuntu 11.04 or 11.10, on every computer or netbook I've tried it on.
(It doesn't work on Mint 'Katya' either.)
