Not sure why I didn't reply earlier
Removing the iRiver entry in Amarok does not enable the iRiver to be
seen automatically.
The device is listed in kinfocenter's usb list. Also, Amarok does
automatically detect Mass Storage Devices (such as the memory stick for
my camera) and try to manage
We are closing this bug report as it lacks the information, described in
the previous comments, we need to investigate the problem further.
However, please reopen it if you can give us the missing information and
don't hesitate to submit bug reports in the future.

Whenever I attach a device to my laptop, Amarok detects that change
(just like KDE pops up the "what do you want to do with this" box) and
asks me what kind of device it is. Try removing the manually created
device in the Media Devices side-tab and disconnecting and reconnecting
