I've been able to upgrade apt-cacher-ng using "precise" package deb , I
installed apt-cacher-ng and liblzma5 deb and now it's working , it seems
that the problem disappeared. I think that apt-cacher-ng needs to be
upgraded also in oneiric.

You are right, I confused something. See
http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=apt-cacher-ng . I guess it
can be installed without other dependencies but I am not sure, and I am
not an Ubuntu guy.

Oneiric is the last ubuntu stable version, are you telling me that I have to
upgrade to 12.04 ?? For what I know now it's in earlier developing phase and
the pc I'm using is a desktop which I use daily...
Is there a way to upgrade only this single package ?

Anyway I collected the list of problematic indexes :
/var/cache/apt-cacher-ng/deb.paissad.net/dists/unstable/Release
/var/cache/apt-cacher-ng/download.webmin.com/download/repository/dists/sarge/Release
/var/cache/apt-cacher-ng/linux.dropbox.com/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/Release
/var/cache/apt-cacher-ng
I encountered the problem again, so I tried to use apport to get crashdumps
like explained on wiki page with this command :
sudo service apport start force_start=1
then I restarted apt-cacher-ng (it was closed by previous crash) and started
scan, it crashed again but I got no apport dialog
then
Not so many : about 5~6 files, they're all repository index files
(Packages, Release. etc) that don't belongs to any official repository.
I start the expiration job going to : localhost:3142/acng-report.html
using Firefox and enabling the following options :
disabled "Stop the work on errors dur
So there are many corrupted files?
How to you start the expiration job?
Are you sure that you don't have broken RAM or some disk damage?
Please provide crashdumps (generated by apport, see
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport for details).
