Public bug reported: Hi,
It would be great if the transliterate patch could be included in ubuntu rsync. This is needed to rsync to a fat filesystem. "This patch adds an option --tr=BAD/GOOD to transliterate filenames. It can be used to remove characters illegal on the destination filesystem." http://gitweb.samba.org/?p=rsync- patches.git;a=blob;f=transliterate.diff;h=77f9ed8add21b705017c1809e99391cc5414de00;hb=5214a41bbae94607b196b199b483710e1babf292 Thanks! ** Affects: rsync (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/889786 Title: include transliterate patch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rsync/+bug/889786/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
