It seems to be related with a QT_ACCESSIBiLITY bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/at-spi2-core/+bug/877358 I could reproduce the problem in lxde, unity 2d and unity 3d (12.04 up- to-date 32 64 bit) QT_ACCESSIBILITY=0 scribus allways solves the problem. -- You received this bug

Same problem here. Once I select a folder in the 'open file' dialog, i get 'Scribus crashes due to Signal #6'. As suggested, QT_ACCESSIBILITY=0 scribus ...works. Scribus then crashes SIGV11 later while loading the PDF file I am trying to edit, but that is another bug. -- You received this
