Public bug reported:

In the previous version the mail sending happened in the background. You
clicked on the sending, and got back the main window. Now it shows the
new mail window and an indicator that the mail is sending. It slows down
the user, who has to wait until it ends, or she should change back to
the main window all the time. If you send many emails per day it's a
long time together.

It'd be nice to have a config option to work like in the previous
versions.
