Public bug reported: I was trying to zero in a problem on Precise, Linux 3.2, and -- perhaps -- encrypted LVM. So I booted, under the 3.2 kernel, into recovery -- and was greeted by a message stating
"Couldn't find whiptail, starting root shell instead of recovery menu." Indeed, at this point in time my /usr has not, yet, been mounted. End result: friendly-recovery is not available is /usr is a different filesystem. ** Affects: friendly-recovery (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: iso-testing manual precise -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/893302 Title: friendly-recovery depends on /usr/bin/whiptail, and will fail if /usr on a different filesystem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/friendly-recovery/+bug/893302/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
