I still get the bug, but it's nowhere near as bad. Instead, you can
seek forward and backwards a few times, but then the song stops playing
(even though the play button is still pressed). Also, when you switch
songs at this point, a red circle with a white bar appears beside the
song, indicating

It only happens with mp3, I just tested. I tested a variety of
different mp3 files, and found the bug only occurs with specific ones.
I would attach those files if it wasn't copyright infringement.
I think it may be due to bad encoding of such files.

with any file? Could you try if that happens with totem-gstreamer? Could
