Public bug reported: had identical installer crash 4 times today from downloaded kubuntu 64b amd iso file over the past 2 days Nov 24/25 2011
downloaded iso image from ubuntu website, created disc, installed with a windows vista and now windows xp install. from bootup of cd selected the first default choice, chose to create a partition, default and then it installed. plenty of disk space available, 300G drive, it made a 117G partition? for linux in the process the error message said to write a bug report. tried searching for a similar bug, the only one said installer crashes because of insufficient disk space. all this said was sorry the installer crashed, no useful information and something about writing a bug report here. so far its running well enough to load firefox and come here if there is an installation file that has relevant info please advise ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/896477 Title: kubuntu installer crashes 11.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/+bug/896477/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
