I have been using an ASRock A75 Extreme6 and I have found the same
problem. As I am using this for a server the fix for me is to add the
nomodeset or radeon.modeset=0 kernel option. You can do this from the
grub menu just press e. You could also blacklist the radeon module.
This will stop the
[Expired for linux (Ubuntu) because there has been no activity for 60
days.]

computer with plymouth disabled and then shutdown to see if you can
reproduce the issue. To disable plymouth for a single boot, follow these
steps:

not with plymouth itself. Please run 'apport-collect 897134' from the
affected system.
